Actress and author Amber Tamblyn will be joined by Julian Zelizer to discuss her new book Era of Ignition: Coming of Age in a Time of Rage and Revolution. Tamblyn is known for her work on General Hospital, Joan of Arcadia, Two and a Half Men and The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. In June 2018 Tamblyn released her first novel Any Man. In March of 2019 Tamblyn's second book, Era of Ignition, was released. A memoir and feminist manifesto the book is Tamblyn's personal exploration of feminism during divisive times.

Julian Zelizer will interview Tamblyn. Zelizer is the author and editor of 19 books on American political history, including his most recently released book Fault Lines: A History of the United States Since 1974. Zelizer is also a frequent commentator in the media. He has published over nine hundred op-eds, including his weekly column on CNN.Com. He has received fellowships from the Brookings Institution, the Guggenheim Foundation, the Russell Sage Foundation, New America, and the New York Historical Society. He is currently finishing work on two books: Burning Down the House: Newt Gingrich, The Fall of a Speaker, and the Rise of the New Republican Party (Penguin Press) and Abraham Joshua Heschel (Yale University Press).
