Exhibition: August 24 – October 8, 2015
Reception: Sunday, September 20, 2015, 4 – 6 p.m.
The exhibition is comprised chiefly of two projects. Aliza Augustine’s project, “Documenting The Second Generation: Children of Holocaust Survivors,” is an ongoing series of fine art portraits that address the Holocaust in a contemporary manner. In the “Cambodian War Widows’ Project,” the artists and co-curators, Mary Oestereicher Hamill and Khmer Rouge survivor Chath Piersath, present artwork by fourteen elderly widows from Sorya, a Cambodian rural village.
