All students will have intensive language instruction at the beginning of the program to help them to adjust to courses offered in Spanish.

For the semester, students take one required program course on Cuban Cultural Policy, offered by the resident director; a Spanish language course, and two courses at the University of Havana or the required program course and three courses at the University. Courses will be available in a number of departments in the social sciences and humanities. 

Woodrow Wilson School concentrators take the Policy Task Force, offered at the Centro de Estudios Demograficos, which fulfills the Junior Independent Work requirement.
