Sophie Meunier

Sophie Meunier is Research Scholar in the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University and co-Director of the European Union Program at Princeton. She is the author of Trading Voices: The European Union in International Commercial Negotiations (Princeton University Press, 2005) and the co-author of The French Challenge: Adapting to Globalization (with Philip Gordon, Brookings Institution Press, 2001), winner of the 2002 France-Ameriques book award. Meunier has edited several books and published many articles on the European Union, the politics of international trade, globalization, anti-Americanism, and French politics. Her current research focuses on the politics of hosting Chinese direct investment in Europe and the US. Meunier was made "Chevalier dans l'Ordre des Palmes Academiques" by the French government in 2011. BA Sciences Po Paris 1989, Ph.D. in Political Science MIT 1998.
