New Jersey Governor to speak at Princeton University, May 20

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie will deliver a policy address at 5:45 p.m. on Friday, May 20, in McCosh Hall, Room 50, on the Princeton University campus. The talk is free and open to the public, but tickets are required for entry. The address is sponsored by Princeton's Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs and Center for Economic Policy Studies.

 

Christie is the 55th Governor of the State of New Jersey, having been elected in November, 2009. Prior to becoming Governor he served as U.S. Attorney for the District of New Jersey from 2002-2008. And Time Magazine recently named Christie as one of the 100 most influential people in the world for 2011.

 

Tickets for the lecture will be available to all Princeton University students, faculty, and staff on a first-come, first-serve basis beginning at noon on Monday, May 9 at the Frist Campus Center Ticket Office. Ticketing will continue from noon to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, while supplies last. The ticket office will issue one ticket per Princeton University TigerCard ID, and individuals may bring up to two TigerCard IDs.

Tickets for the general public will be available from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, May 16 at the Richardson Auditorium Ticket Office. After May 16, public ticket distribution will continue, while supplies last, at the Frist Campus Center Ticket Office from noon to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, while supplies last. A government-issued photo ID is required to obtain a ticket, with a maximum of two tickets per person.

Ticketholders must be seated by 5:30 p.m., at which point seating will be opened to individuals in a wait line. For security reasons, no umbrellas, backpacks or flash photography will be allowed inside the venue.

The talk will be simulcast in McCosh Hall, Rooms 60, 62, 64 and 66. No tickets are required for the simulcast, and the viewing is open to the public; food and drinks are prohibited.
