WWS' Uwe Reinhardt Featured in Health Affairs

Uwe Reinhardt, the James Madison Professor of Political Economy at the Woodrow Wilson School, participated in the "roll-out"/release of the November issue of Health Affairs, a leading journal of health policy thought and research. The event, held in Washington on November 8, featured a number of experts on health policy issues focusing on "Linking Community Development and Health," including an examination of new models for health care payments and the Affordable Care Act.
Reinhardt, who is considered one of the leading experts in health care economics, is the author of one of the articles in the issue. In “rolling out” the November issue of Health Affairs, Reinhardt offered a presentation titled “An All-Payer System: Solution for the Alleged Cost-Shift,” as part of a panel on approaches to health care payment reform.
His article in the November issue of Health Affairs is titled “The Many Different Prices Paid to Providers and the Flawed Theory of Cost Shifting: Is It Time for a More Rational All-Payer System?”
