Jane Farrington MPA/JD ’13 has been selected as one of 23 graduate students from across the country to receive a Harold W. Rosenthal Fellowship in International Relations for the summer of 2012.   The fellowship provides graduate students at Association of Professional Schools of International Affairs (APSIA) member schools with the opportunity to spend a summer working on international relations issues in the federal executive branch or the U.S. Congress.  

This summer, Farrington, who was named the Rotary Rosenthal Fellow, will work in the Office of the United States Trade Representative in Washington, DC.   Farrington is jointly pursuing an M.P.A. from the Wilson School and a J.D. from Stanford Law School. Prior to graduate school, Farrington studied journalism as a Rotary Scholar in Morocco, and interned at the U.S. Embassy Rabat.   Jane graduated in 2007 from Emory University with a B.A. in interdisciplinary studies, and minors in Arabic and French.

The fellowship program was established in 1977 in memory of Harold Rosenthal, a congressional staffer and victim of international terrorism while on official duty.   The program has hosted 181 fellows to date, many from the Wilson School.
