Redding Appointed NBER’s Program Director of International Trade and Investment

Stephen Redding, Harold T. Shapiro ’64 Professor in Economics at Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs, has been appointed program director of the International Trade and Investment Program at the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER).

Redding studies international trade, economic geography, productivity and economic development. He is a research associate at NBER and holds a number of positions outside of Princeton including associate editor of Econometrica, research fellow at the Centre for Economic Policy Research and international research fellow at the Kiel Institute for the World Economy.

NBER is the largest economics research organization in the United States. An American private nonprofit research organization, NBER is “committed to undertaking and disseminating unbiased economic research among public policymakers, business professionals and the academic community.”
