Nicole Pope, Author

Nicole Pope is a Swiss journalist and writer based in Istanbul. She worked for 15 years as Turkey correspondent for the French daily Le Monde and had articles published in numerous international publications. She currently writes a column twice weekly in a Turkish daily newspaper and pursues a career as an independent analyst and writer. She is the author of Honor Killings in the Twenty-First Century (Palgrave Macmillan) and the co-author of Turkey Unveiled: a History of Modern Turkey (Overlook Press, updated 4th edition, December 2011). She holds an MA in International and Community Development.
