Elizabeth Dias covers national news and religion for TIME Magazine in Washington, DC. Her cover stories include "The People's Pope," TIME's 2013 Person of the Year feature on Pope Francis; "The Latino Reformation," on changes in Hispanic Christianity in America; and "After Trayvon" about race in America after the Trayvon Martin case. Dias writes about a wide range of topics, from the 2012 presidential campaign to immigration reform to gay rights. She earned her bachelors in theology from Wheaton College and a Masters of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary, and she has been writing for Time since 2009.
