George Mitchell: Challenges to U.S. Policy in the Middle East

The Honorable George Mitchell, U.S. Special Envoy for Middle East Peace from January 2009 to May 2011, former U.S. Senator and Senate Majority Leader, delivered the opening keynote address at the 2013 Princeton Colloquium on Public and International Affairs. The theme of the two day 2013 Colloquium is “Challenges to U.S. Policy in the Middle East,” and examined U.S. policy in the Middle East, focusing on four key issues: When America Intervenes: Is There a Strategy?, the Arab Awakening, Iran, and Israeli-Palestinian Relations.
