John Darley's research interests include social comparison theory, psychology, morality and the law, altruism and bystander intervention, and formation of ideologies. His current research focuses on looking directly at moral decisions, particularly ones involved in the decision to punish another for a transgression, at interpersonal power and how it plays out in social interactions, and at how we attempt to manage others with incentive systems.
