Ana is a post-doctoral research associate at the Woodrow Wilson School of School of Public and International Affairs. She is working to understand the social, motivational and perceptual factors that perpetuate sexual assault on college campuses.
She received her Ph.D from New York University, where she began working on the intersection between motivation, morality, and perception. She has found morally relevant stimuli are more likely to reach conscious awareness due to their motivational relevance--a phenomenon termed the moral pop-out effect.
