WWS Center for Information Technology Policy to "Establishing New Foundations for Cyber Security," February 9
The Woodrow Wilson School's Center for Information Technology Policy will host a public talk by Richard W. Linderman, Chief Scientist and Information Directorate at the Air Force Research Laboratory, titled, "Establishing New Foundations for Cyber Security" at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 9, 2012 in 101 Sherrerd Hall on the Princeton university campus.
The mission of the U.S. Air Force is to fly, fight and win–in air, space, and cyberspace. Air Force missions are integrated with and enabled by the interdependent network of information technology infrastructures, including the internet. With global cyber threat activity growing, the creation of cyber-based foundational infrastructures are required so the Air Force can successfully complete its missions to defend and protect this nation.
Linderman is a member of the scientific and professional cadre of senior executives, and the chief scientist, information directorate at the Air Force Research Laboratory, in Rome, N.Y. The information directorate leads the discovery, development and integration of affordable war-fighting information technologies for air, space and cyberspace forces.
