The Woodrow Wilson School's Center for the Study of Democratic Politics and Princeton's James Madison Program in American Ideals and Institutions will host the conference, "The Conservative Movement: Its Past, Present and Future," on December 1-3 in Dodds Auditorium, Robertson Hall. The three-day conference will convene noted scholars, journalists, policymakers and research professionals to address, through panel discussions, the conservative movement from a historical perspective; the future of the movement; its political infrastructure; cultural and religious influences; and its impact on foreign policy. Steven F. Hayward, Resident Scholar at the American Enterprise Institute for Public Policy Research, will be the keynote speaker opening the event on Thursday, December 1 and will address the conservative movement since 1950. George Will of the Washington Post, Stephen Moore of the Wall Street Journal, Lou Cannon, author and journalist, formerly of the Washington Post; David Kirkpatrick of the New York Times, and Richard Land of the Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission will be among the panel discussions' participants.
