Leaving Princeton - Forwarding E-Mail
It is Princeton University policy for OIT to terminate accounts four weeks following the departure of a faculty or staff member from the University. For full details on Princeton's policy see

Please take steps to arrange for moving any files you may continue to need, (including e-mail) and to notify your correspondents, if any, who may have been writing you at your e-mail address. Once your account is terminated, you will not be able to retrieve mail from your Princeton account. However, any mail forwarding for your e-mail address will continue for one year. OIT recommends that you forward your e-mail for this one-year period and send out notification of your address change to your colleagues, friends, and family.
