Office Equipment

WWS supplies office computers for all faculty and staff. The standard machine is a Dell Optiplex running Windows Vista. WWS office computers are part of Princeton's DeSC program that provides a standardized desktop computer environment for administrative computing. This equipment is replaced on a four year cycle. Most offices have local printers also.



If faculty would like enhancements to the standard configuration, the cost of the add-ons will be charged to faculty research accounts.  The cost of any additional equipment will also be charged to faculty research accounts.  Enhancements to staff computers and additional equipment, including home equipment, must be approved by unit managers and will be charged to unit or department accounts.



All purchases will be the standard configurations and models recommended and supported by WWS Computing Services.  All computer equipment including hardware, software and computer supplies  must be purchased through the Computing Services Office.  This equipment must be replaced when it falls below the minimum hardware standard.
