Graduate Career Services
The Office
The Woodrow Wilson School's Office of Graduate Career Services provides career counseling and placement assistance to Woodrow Wilson School graduate students and alumni. The office staff maintains communication with its established contacts for information about job opportunities and seeks new contacts in all areas of public affairs. The staff also stays in touch with the School's graduates, seeking advice and assistance.
In addition to maintaining extensive placement files and reference materials in the Career Resource Center (CRC) (Rm. 221 Robertson Hall), the staff organizes career panels of School graduates and other professionals who can describe the working environment and career opportunities in their particular fields. The staff provides a variety of services to students including career counseling, resume critiquing, professional and career development workshops, and specialized training sessions. They also coordinate recruiting visits of prospective employers.
Personalized career guidance is provided -- each student is encouraged to develop a well-defined sense of his or her abilities, interests, and motivation, and to identify specific jobs and organizational settings of interest.
