The Princeton School of Public and International Affairs extends a heartfelt congratulations to Sagatom Saha (MPA ’20) and Minh-Thu Pham (MPA ’03), on their honorable selection as 2020 Asian American Pacific Islander National Security and Foreign Policy Next Generation Leaders.

This recognition is awarded to experts serving in government, think tanks, academia, NGOs, and the media.

Throughout his developing career, Sagatom has served as a Fulbright researcher in Kyiv, helped direct the Council on Foreign Relations’ Program on Energy Security and Climate Change, interned with the State Department in the Office of Afghanistan Affairs, and helped inform energy policy under the Indo-Pacific Strategy with the Bureau of Energy Resources. Having published more than 50 op-eds and policy papers in publications such as Axios, Foreign Affairs, and Foreign Policy, Sagatom’s influence on public policy is helping to shape the future of international affairs.

As Executive Director of Global Policy at the UN Foundation, Minh-Thu Pham (MPA ’03) was responsible for leading innovative efforts to create and finance the Sustainable Development Goals to end extreme poverty, curb climate change, and address inequality. She serves on the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs Advisory Council, and was a Visiting Lecturer at the School, where she taught international policymaking. She even worked as crew photographer for the award-winning BBC series, Planet Earth, and helped film a documentary for National Geographic TV. As a fellow of the Truman National Security Project, she is a true champion of international cooperation and citizen engagement.

We are proud to celebrate Sagatom and Minh-Thu for this latest accolade and for all of their accomplishments.
